Yes, upgraded my gears to D80, and of course it’s Nikon. Nothing particular actually, it’s just the burst speed increasing, more AF point, same 3D Matrix Metering II, larger pentaprism finder, more grips, and of course more resolution. I haven’t tried the bracketing capabilities yet, so I don’t give much attention to it in my gears upgrade consideration.
Honestly it’s the 3D Matrix Metering II that came on me as basic consideration, the one that we can find in D40. Therefore I chose D80 rather than D70s. I slightly never experienced any highlighting/over exposure with this metering. Here we go with AF-S lens compatibility in D80. I found many opinions about must-have AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens or AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D. I realized the benefits and the advantages of these fast prime lenses. Stop “screwing” around with D40, and start serious duty in photography with fine body, invest in the body first, lenses later. Frankly this is not about fancying me with poisonous judgment over D80 in FN or KD Forum, this is about getting serious.
D40 have done so much for me. I even get job offering in candid wedding and modeling photography, which I cannot decide, the compensation I mean, as I’m work on this as a hobby.
Kiss it goodbye, and warm hand welcoming my newly DSLR, Nikon D80.
